Membership in The John Birch Society might not be suited for you
if:
1). You believe we are losing our liberties because of a "Jewish Conspiracy".
2). You believe we are losing our liberties because of the Pope.
3). You believe we are losing our liberties because of the "Protestant Deformation" (sic).
4). You believe we are losing our liberties because of the Moslems.
5). You have a sheet hanging up in your closet with two eyeholes cut in it. You believe that "our problems"
are because of the blacks, whites, browns, reds, yellows, or whatever other color or ethnic group.
6). You want to go out and start blowing things up or burning things down.
7). You advocate not paying your taxes (no, I don't like them either, but not paying them will only lead
to jail time. You won't do any good there!).
8). You believe the world is going to pot because that's what was prophesied, it's a sign of the
"End Times", and there's nothing to be done about it anyway.
The above doesn't mean that you can't oppose foreign aid. It doesn't mean that you can't
oppose federally mandated affirmative action. It doesn't mean that you can't oppose federal welfare. They are all unconstitutional.
It doesn't mean that you can't oppose illegal or unrestrained immigration. It doesn't mean that you can't support lower taxes
through less federal government spending. The vast majority of federal spending is, after all, not authorized by the Constitution.
We do not help ourselves by allowing us to be diverted from the proper course of action to restore
our Individual Liberty and return our Federal Government to operating within its Constitutional Boundaries. We must make sure
that we act based on reliable and accurate information. We must protect our credibility.
